            Wisla Krakow – Siauliai
Football : Europa League : 2nd Qualifying round, 2nd leg.
            First match (0-2)
            Thursday, 22nd July 2010. Kickoff 20:00

            Wisla Krakow (Poland)

You can call Wisla the most successful club in Polish football in
the last decade. 7 Ekstraklasa titles is no fluke. In 2009/2010
season Wisla got pushed by Lech into second position and now has to
            participate in Europa League.

Wisla Krakow enter the new season with new coach “pan” Henryk
Kasperczak. He signed the contract on the 15th of March 2010, so is
familiar with the situation. It is Kasperczak second coming to
Wisla, in 2002-2004 he took the team to 2 Ekstraklasa titles.

A huge sale of players in the summer in Krakow left them without
normal defense. Still enough quality in Polish vice-champions squad,
though, to defeat puny Lithuanian team like Siauliai.

Number one choice goalkeeper Pawelek made a return in a training
sparring this week. He may still be rested as a precaution. The
Slovenian international midfielder Kirm probably gets rested again.
He needs time to recover after the 2010 World Cup finals.

Polish vice-champions returned Macei Zurawski to motherland from the
island of Cyprus. He can be given a chance to play a full match,
because the guy needs to adapt. No changes in the midfield centre
            are expected.
            Siauliai (Lithuania)

Lithuanian minnows expectedly lost to Wisla Krakow in the opening
match in Siauliai. The 0-2 defeat virtually eliminates them from the
            competition.

Things aren’t going well for Siauliai in the domestic league either.
With relegation threat not out of the question – the biggest task
would be to avoid unnecessary injuries and fatigue here.

The match vs. Wisla Krakow was a debut for new coach Rimantas
Viktoravicius. However the old rule “new coach-positive result” did
not work. Siauliai is trying to keep above the water line in
Lithuanian league with 4-6-5 record and a -3 goal difference.

Siauliai made a 15 hour refreshing bus trip to Krakow.
