Dinamo Bucuresti v Olimpia Balti
Football: Uefa Europa League: Second qualifying round, 2nd leg
Venue: Stadion Stefan cel Mare, Bucuresti, Romania
Thursday 22th July – Kickoff time: 20:45 GMT+2
Dinamo Bucuresti
Dinamo can already consider themselves qualified for the next
round, the 2-0 victory in the away game from Chisinau showed everyone
which is the better side, so this game should be just a formality.
However, there are some worrying news for Dinamo after last week’s
draws for the next round. Hajduk Split from Croatia will be their
next opponent and is considered to be the toughest from the 5 teams
that were among their possible opponents.
The victory came quite easy, they were not impressive, but did just
enough to balance the game in their favor. After Pulhac’s goal in
the first half, Dinamo gave a calm rhythm to the game, controlling
possession but not pushing at all. The second goal came after a
counter-attack, Ganea scored after getting past the goalkeeper.
Coach Ioan Andone will gave the opportunity to some newcomers to
impress at their debut in the new season, so Munteanu, Paun and
Ganea are expected to start from the 1st minute (they spent their
previous season at other clubs but all of them played before at
Dinamo).
Olimpia Balti
Olimpia showed their limits in the first leg against Dinamo, despite
having great expectations and ambition to eliminate a Romanian side
(Romania and Moldova are neighbors) they couldn’t deliver a result
that would let them with some hopes for this match.
Their coach declared that they will try to make a nice impression
and by that I understand that they will try not to concede too many
goals. If we look back in history, Dinamo had some major goofs in
European competitions, being eliminated by relatively unknown teams,
but Olimpia’s mission seem impossible in the given circumstances.
Moldavian football only gives one team that can represent them in
Europe with some chances in progressing and playing at a decent
level with western European clubs, and that is Sheriff Tiraspol.
There is a very high probability that this is their last game in
European competitions this season so they will try to make the most
of it.
The Betting Verdict :
From what I’ve seen in the press, Dinamo’s players are already
talking and thinking about their next opponent Hajduk Split,
considering that this match will only be a training session with
fans.
Dinamo are not at 100% potential at this moment, they are coming
after a heavy training period in Austria so at the shelter of that
2-0 result from the first match they should go into this match quite
relaxed.
Of course, there is a big difference in class between these two
teams, Dinamo have the strength in a good day to defeat them with
5-0 or more, but in these circumstances I am willing to take Olimpia
on the handicap market. At 1.08 there is no value in taking Dinamo.
The Pick :
Dinamo Bucuresti 2-0 (or 1-0) Olimpia Balti
FIXED ODDS BETTING :
Olimpia Balti (+3) at 1.9 Bet365
