Both players know each other very well and meet on regular basis. This year they clashed on clay in Houston and south african Anderson won 1st time meeting. But rest speaks for an american. He won already 3 times always on hard, Atlanta gives him home advantage and form speaks for him as well. Last week he made it into the final in Aptos and I think he should win this one.

This is quick one. Odds are falling free fall and I managed at least to grab this odds. Both players won the 1st games, Istomin against Almagro and Reister against Hanescu. Reister impressed me a lot, he played really great, he is home player from Hamburg and not bad player on the clay as well. Istomin and clay does not go well and I was surprised with his win against Almagro. Maybe Almagro took it easy but Reister will not and I will take Reister with still decent odds and medium-higher stake.

This is: Maria Elena Camerin – Johanna Larsson game of course in WTA Portoroz.

It is going to be short one. Young Swede is coming back after clay and grass on hard which her surface. This year her balance on hard is just excellent 26-2 and in 2010 she won already 3 tournaments (Bieberach, Clearwater, Jersey) and 4th is from clay in Marseille. Italian Camerin is struggling and in Portoroz it is 1st time in the last 5 tournaments she made it through 1st round. But I think this is enough and Larsson will end her journey.

ATP:Riba vs Starace -by trader

Starace is very much of a strong favourite here facing Riba who is overrated due to win over Montanes last week. Starace is serving in average an amazing 73% first serves in which is absolutely top of the tour although his servers aren’t that huge as of his competitors. Riba is struggling heavily on serve only managing to get 57% first serves in.
Starace is much better especially on returning than Riba and I go for higher bet with Starace here.

Chardy plays probably his best tennis right now, with lots of confidence and on this form he should definitely be trusted against Melzer who looks a bit shaky and tired at the moment, after the series of great result over the past couple of months, so under these circumstances, the Frenchman should stand every chance.

Sandra Zahlavova have lost in first round of her 6 of her 7 latest tournaments, and her form has not been convincing of late, many unforced errors.

Lesya Tsurenko havent showed great form, but shes on the break to be a good tennis player, and she has shown potential in many games of late.

The out of form Sandra Zahlavova, face the young and promsing Lesya Tsurenko in a WTA tournament in Austria. Tsurenko won the only match played between these players, in a 2 set victory.
I think Tsurenko has a great chance to repeat that victory, as Zahlavova is miles from being in top form. Tsurenko will be my POD.

I think bookies have got this one wrong as well. Zahlavova beat her sis in law only because she was tired physically and mentally after loss in Prague final. Normally S. Zahlavova should have lost here in first round as her current form is pretty poor. Tsurenko is in much more better shape at the moment and with shape comes confidence which is very important. Saw her play pretty ok against Schnyder a few weeks ago and she lacked quality to win against player like Schnyder but will have an easier time today. Lesya has looked quite solid thus far winning 4 matches without dropping a set and is my favorite to advance to the 3rd round.

Tennis:Anastasija Sevastova vs Simona Halep -by pyscho

Weird to see Halep a favorite in this one. Should not be like that. 50/50 match in my opinion with Sevastova having slight advantage experience wise. The other plus side for Sevastova is that she is feeling like at home here coz she lives in Austria. Halep has got talent etc. but she is still to prove she can perform consistently. Sadly for her that is yet to happen. Both players have better return game than serving so I can see this match having lots of breaks and ups and downs. Quality wise no big difference though Sevastova should come through. She has beaten Halep in their only meeting which was last year.

Tennis:Denis Istomin vs Nicolas Almagro -by psycho

Normally would leave this one alone because Istomin on clay is a nightmare but this time I’m having a crack. And the only reason for that is that Almagro is arriving to Hamburg after just winning Bastad title. Nicolas is the type of player who can have a poor showing after title win. Saw their match in Eastbourne and actually before Almagro got hurt he couldn’t do much about Istomin’s play. Clay will be totally different and huge advantage for Almagro though it remains to be seen how hungry he will be today.

Tennis:Michael Russell vs Rainer Schuettler -by psycho

Russell was average in round 1 against Becker and was more less gifted a win there. Rainer Schuettler is not gonna play that bad although he can do that. Though I think this tournament won’t be the case. He normally collapses towards the end of the season and there are 2-3 months still to go before that. Schuettler destroyed Gabashvili in his first match and as we know Gaba is not that bad. I think the German player here has got a bit of mental advantage as he has beaten Russell both times they played. I reckon this match will be close, possibly tie-break or two. Has not seen Russell play one good tie-break against quality player so my choice is Schuettler.
